HELP! I haven`t had the Paj a week and today the speedo needle has decided to stick as I slow down to the 30mph mark.It will slowly drop if I keep tapping the glass face but still records 20-30mph as I slow down to a standstill.Suggestions please?

Hi kenworth, had this prob myself. It turned out to be the new face that was fitted to convert to mph, had bent slightly and was catching the needle, easy fix removed speedo and refixed face. Hope this helps.

Welcome to the asylum!

Has the speedo been converted by someone changing the painted face plate? If so sounds like they didn't put the needle back on right. Easiest to take the speedo out, and gently bend the needle until it can move freely.

Hi Guys
yes, the speedo has had the MPH face fitted but it`s been ok up until yesterday. I will try to remove the speedo this weekend and sort it. Thanks for your help.

Ken,
you don,t need to remove the speedo just the cover and you can adjust it from there.
There are 3 screws,
one either side of the speedo cowling, and one at the front
undo these then you,ll feel the speedo housing come loose,
disconnect the fog light switch, ease the housing to the left
then you,ll have to undo the screws that hold the clear plastic cover over the clocks
undo these and you can lift this away and your in to correct the speedo
you can gentle ease the needle off and correct it
if you have to renew the speedo face there are 2 more screws on the speedo face and thats it
make sure when the needles back on it spins without catching the face
just gentley make sure it pushes all the way round without catching
hope that helps matey Very Happy

kenworth,

Ducca is spot on matey - and it is a very common problem with replacement speedo fascias because they warp slightly with the heat. They are made out of cheaper and thinner material I'm afraid!

Once you have eased it back a little, all will be right again, and you can enjoy your Pajero once more.

Cheers

Paul
