Sweet Home 3D is another free one - not very sophisticated but good enough to do your house and fill it with furniture so you can see what a room is going to look like before the DIY starts. |

What a cool tool loads of video's on how to use and very easy it is as well but can't use for cutting mild steel.

Thanks but not quite what I'm looking for i need a CAD software to design some parts for my Pajero so I can put on disk and take to a metal cutters and have the parts cut as I want to build something. |

You need to start by defining what format the output needs to be in for the fabricator to use. Does it need to be .dxf, .dwg, .stp, .igs (God forbid) or some other format. Then you can look for CAD software that gives you the right format. Most professional systems will output in many formats, but they're expensive. You could look at OnShape which is Web based. |
