I am looking to get break down recovery, i want one that takes me back to my chap who has alwasy looked after my cars, not to some idiot garage who knows what to do, really, £1200 please, any pointers?,  cheers

AA for me, never had a problem with them, my radiator popped in Bow Street, Aberystwyth, they relayed me all the way to my front door  thumbleft

£195 for the year, covers all members of the family, regardless whose vehicle they are in.

been with AA RAC and now Green Flag
not had a problem with any of them but im on a company fleet deal. think GF is cheeper and one of the call out garages is 8 units up from the factory i work at

sure one day they will be ownd by the same company, having seen a AA van on the back of an RAC truck then looks like it could be happening lol

Most of the insurance companies, including 2Gether Insurance and Adrian Flux, have breakdown schemes that tie-in with your policy ...

These are usually deals with the bigger companies at a discount rate, or a 'white label' product using the same services as some of the 'majors' ...

RAC for me costs me £100 a yr for the response package,that's for me in any car and I get priority service as I have a blue badge

Green flag for me got the full package to cover me & o/h & caravan. found them very good when timing belt went in Blackpool they recovered us & caravan .
which they took back to storeage & then took us rest of way home; then next day recoverd me to garage of my choice.

I get Greenflag through me bank account, but when I checked it out carefully, I am better off without them!  Mad  So I joined the AA, around £6/month National Recovery etc  Wink
