Oh Dear! I have done a fair few miles. This was done as a temp fix I think. They are replacing it in the morning
Hopefully I will maintain the fuel ecconomy - or I could go the favoured route of late. Go everywhere on the back of a low loader, Ill save a fortune |

So mitsi blanked the egr If so would be interesting to know why on a new truck........if the case I would be looking at a different dealership and more research into the egr as up to now with the codes mentioned and it being blanked does point towards that being issue.
They are the ones with the software (fault codes)and plugging it in though so tbh it just does not make sense |

So you would think the error codes would not point to an ERG Issue? I think the rationale was the ERG filter is faulty, blank it off to keep me running even though it gives the orange engine Mgmt light (which I am so used to now it just seems normal.......)
Its with the dealership today so the ERG Valve will be replaced and I guess the makeshift blanking taken off.
If this dont fix the issues I am going to blow a gasket thats for sure. Its been there too many times now.
With the fault codes I am not sure what the dealer found, the two listed were from the road side assist - I got a snap on my mobile phone with the codes and text Maybe these are just more errors - I have had my share. |

Well the top code of.........
P2413 – Exhaust Gas Recirculation System Performance
P0299 – Turbocharger /SuperCharger underboost
p2413 defo sounds connected to egr, then this issue could be connected to the under boost as its in limp mode from the original gas recirculation fault.........
If makes sense,so i for me that should cure, what i cant understand is why a dealer is blanking something on a 4yr old car surely a technician at mitsi (their job) would know a dam site more than me on the new models,i am just making a common sense judgment from the codes and blanking.
If fitted then today be interesting then...............also a reason why they blanked something that is new(to an extent)but i dont know of recalls etc on latest models(if any),i would also be trying a different dealership too as i can only go off what is posted so dont know reasons etc why they would take that route hence confused.com |

Be very interested in their input if there was! Have spoken directly to Mitsi a couple of times, not sure if it will help.
The dealer has offered me an additional years warranty due to all the issues, this is not a Mitsi one but some third party who will pay the first 2k on any claim (apparently unlimited claims) go for this or push for a Mitsi one?
Interesting note with the car being back, the 30% increase in fuel efficiency from blanking off has reduced to about 20% now they have replaced the valve - go figure |
