Peaks a good start but dont go alone, ask or put a post up and see if anyone available to go(a meet so to speak) or if you know someone yourself.Better with someone with knowledge of area as some lanes limited to 4 trucks, some closed, others width restrictions, also peaks at mo in spot light with walkers/residents .So research, bamford, houndskirk, monsal(at the mo) are ok to do and ok standard truck wise, are more but need to check which are open.Make sure you have got a strop and couple of shackles in boot as a minimum, also decent coat and blankets, torch etc in boot, specially more so this time of year as can be very cold high up,specially if truck broke and no heating,so think worse for preparation.

Ideally groups of no more than 4 if more do go.
Reason never alone is if do break down AA are not going to get to you, also may not have phone signal dependent on area(why peeps fit cbs)as can communicate for various reasons, from someone stuck to bikers coming down etc etc etc ,mobiles not good for that or convenient enough. But cb not a must  Wink
