and now we know why it is so nice......had a pitch booked for this weekend (£30 paid in full, weeks ago)....made enquiries today re. the state of play with the weather.....they say that the site is very very water-logged and that the site is very very muddy and would advise against camping - with no refund !!!

Oh, I've always got my wellies - couldn't live without 'em !

Not complaining about the rain - it keeps the midges away Very Happy

At least we found out about the site before we actually got there - the site owners aren't bothering to let people know in advance - feel sorry for those people who turn up (after a long journey) and find out about the state of the site ! Evil or Very Mad

We were booked at cove park on the Thursday, just as a precaution I decided to phone about the state of the campsite and was told that it was badly waterlogged and told not to come, when I asked about a refund I was told that I wouldn't be given one and yep it was them that told me not to come, not a happy chap, I'm glad I phone thou bit of a trek to find that we couldn't pitch.
