Good advice Venn. Similar thoughts to the ones going through my brainbox. Age of tyres is a real issues - you never know how long they have been hanging around even if they have got lots of tread. Very interested in your link to the Notts dealer |

Yes that notts dealer has always got good deals on, for wheels as well as tyres, I always come back to that place when looking. The annoying thing for me is my wheels are 16" so not the range of tyres to choose from, would have to get the rims too which makes it too pricey. If just tyres i'd have bought the runways already, and I just sold a set of original paj 15s for £75 when I sold my 2.8 |

Got a good deal on Yokohama Geolandars locally - 4 for £340 from National tyres. From searches on the internet they seem to be pretty good tyres so was pleased with that. Are they any good do you reckon - they look the business. Also got a digital temp guage with an alarm that you can set at whatever temp you want. This seemed like a good idea since monitoring engine temp seems to be the secret when it comes to keeping the head intact. They were over £100 on ebay but after some searching, got mine for just over £50 from a supplier in Canada. Really easy to fit and so far it seems to be working really well. |
