Adrian Flux gets an excellent rating from me!
My renewal premium is a 40% reduction from last year, which was already very competitive. |

Mine went up from £800 last year to £2000 this year because I had a fire claim. I know it was going to go up but that is stupid for a limited mileage policy. |

Or maybe it's the benefit of advancing years! I have an increasingly small window between now and the time when I will be considered a bad risk again........ |

I was with flux for............well at least 11 maybe 12yrs,then they stung me,back in the day they were good, grew too big,now customer service is shocking.Peeps wont know till a claim happens, then true colours show..........till then its happy days for some, cheap quotes etc etc.
My ins was 160 a year fully comp, around 12yrs ncb, then false claim at 0.5mph ,no damage, guilty to proved innocent (there words not mine) so have own laws too
Then quoted 1900 hence no more flux.........lost my ncb down to 2yrs as max is 5 or 6 taken into account ,everyone's 10 or 20yrs is just bonus.......... so you loose 4ncb as flux allows 6ncb,down to 2,start again 460 with sureterm, then after 2yrs a silly quote and never said they were stopping 4x4 ins, went with lancaster who told me they are a sister company of sureterm all same poor communication, just bad business, but they get away with it................and still are doing |

I have to say that I've found Flux's customer service good so far. Everything has been handled promptly and efficiently. Don't forget it's not the insurance brokers who can sting you, but the insurers themselves. Likewise with claims handling. The brokers are just the middlemen.
Insurers are entirely illogical. Today I received quotes ranging from £240 to £1700+ per annum. How can different insurers take such divergent views of the same risk? Ridiculous.
Your experience of the premium jumping up so much after a false claim makes a very good case for dashcams. So in line with your reputation for helping others spend their money, I will now have to get one. Or more. |

well see if flux recommend one,may end up paying for it and get discount,so works out free or not far off.
Would stay away from chinas £15 finest, look towards the 50-80 market.Decent sd card, over writes anyway after X hours and has movement sensors,so recorded when moving etc(sure it wont stop as soon as you do but maybe after so many minutes)
Just some thoughts |

I agree. What I am looking for is all of the above with internal front and external rear cameras (because my Challenger has a very dark rear window). It would be handy if it also doubled as a reversing camera. Even better if I could get extra cameras and a mount so that I could transfer it to my other car.
I don't want to end up paying £80 for £15's worth of China's finest!
All recommendations gratefully received. |
