My 2.5 td L200 did about 31 mpg when it was in its original state with kn airfilter, blanked egr and 245/75 -16 road tyres.

Now it does 18 - 21 mpg with heavy bumpers and 285/75 -16 MT tyres.

These figures is with a speed of about 95 km/h on a long run.

I just filled my Sport again, it did 340 miles at 26mpg, 150 of those were main road and dual carrigeway miles, and i didn't exceed 60mph, the rest was all short trips door to door round the town for work.

I just bought the car... its used, and almost 18 years old.

I drove it for 5 days in City after having the tank full to the top.
Did the same before doing a trip in High way..

My results:

1.  In city:  15 L /100 km, or 18,7 mpg

2. High Way (speed 105-110km/h): 11,9 L/100 km or 23,7 mpg

That is before any service, or filters change, and with 31-10.5'' A/T Tires.

I will calculate this again, after using 2 full tanks with fuel injector cleaners, service, and new Road tires...
Will let you know about my findings...

(YES, having those cars its fun and you have to pay it in Fuel, but since 50% is tax to Goverment, and diesel it 1.45 Euro per Litre....its not bad taking some actions to reduce consumption)

I've recorded all the diesel I've put in and all the miles I have travelled for the past three years.

Nearly all local "about town" driving and I get 18mpg although it did once do 22mpg!!
