Don't think you have to modify anything to be honest , I am sure some of the guys on here know far more about it than I do though.

Well I have gone and done it , I had half a tank ish left of diesel I mixed up 40 litres of 50/50 veg oil and diesel put a squirt of redex and 2 stroke oil in ,
managed to get all 40 ltrs in the tank started it up and let it tick over for 20 mins no problems apart from a feint smell of chip shop coming through,
been driving for about 30 miles with no problems a bit of smoke on the first boot to the floor but nothing after that seems to perform as normal so will keep an eye on it and report back. Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy

Just a word of warning. I've been running my 2.8 Challenger on 50/50 SVO/diesel for just two months. Recentlly an occasional drip from the body of the fuel pump turned into something much more serious. It would appear that several of the pump seals have failed and need replacing. Note that this is not the main shaft seal that's failed, but others that seal covering plates and spindles on the pump.

Seal kits are available in the UK, but I haven't been able to locate a Viton one. Viton gives better life than butyl rubber when used with veggie oil. Diesel Bob will do a pump overhaul and use a heavy duty (Viton) seal kit on request, but they don't sell the seal kit on its own.

Viton seal kits for the Bosch VE type pump (same as Zexel) are available here:http://www.dieselkontor.de/product_info.php?products_id=68 . The kit contains all the seals for the complete range of VE pump variants.

If you have leakage issues and are feeling brave here's link to Bosch VE overhaul instructions: http://www.vwdieselparts.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=6694&start=0  Same thing posted here: http://gnarlodious.com/Vanagon/Bosch_Pump/-Rebuild

I've opted for a pump overhaul from Diesel Bob.

Well , noticed a drip from under the truck last week its now turned in to quite a big drip, diesel oil coming from underneath the fuel pump , cant see where but looks like the rear plate of the pump and underneath on the engine side of the pump, looks like an expensive rebuild then ,  Evil or Very Mad
