Just got a 3.2 DI-D with the 18" Le Mans wheels, it's got 285/55 R18 on the rear and 255/60 R18 0n the front, I don't really want to buy 2 new tyres so if I only drive in 2H and obviously don't swap tyres between axles will it do any damage. Thanks guys

If you stay in 2H, then you'll be fine. However - if you're involved in a crash and your insurance company finds different sized tyres when the manufacturer specifies all four tyres should be the same you might find them unwilling to pay out. So it'll probably be worth you buying two tyres to make all four the same when you can.

Thanks Rich, got a few jobs to do before I consider tyres. Check fuel filler, disconnect rear heater pipes (looks like I have a leak). Replace top chain guide, change all oils and filters, think the camber on rear is out as the tyres are wearing on the inside.
