As I understand it the engine got damaged and was rebuild with a new block (block was £3000) £5000 total then later had problems that it would not run, the crank pick up and cable look very new and I found that the cam timing was way out so I am guessing that some one removed the cam belt (which I do not think you need to do) to change the pick up (which was the actual problem) then put the belt back on wrong, they got fed up with it shoved it up a corner and bought another car then  decided to sell it as a non runner.

Thanks Lee.
