faulty radio

Here's one for you...when I turn the key to ACC the radio works fine, as soon as I turn ignition on it looses reception, any ideas. Factory fitted radio

You have probly got a short someplace close to the radio, any kind of spark produces wideband radio waves and will interfere with reception. Or you have a cheapo piece of wireless kit (mine is my reversing camera) which uses radio frequencies close to the radio stations transmitting frequencies and can seriously degrade radio reception.
