Hi gang

I have a B reg Pinin warrior

Yesterday the rear door handle stopped working so now the door is stuck closed.
The handle seems stiff and stuck in the up position.
The central locking still works fine.

I have read the posts on this forum about how to fix this problem on a Pajero so I tried
Following those but when I got in the back of my Pinin there is no visible way to remove
The rear door panel.

No screws or catches visible and I don't want to crack or mark the panel as its imatulate.

Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Thanks

Belinea

On a Pajero MkII the handle sticks quite a bit.

I had a Pinin but can't remember how the handle works.

On a MkII it often works if you give the top of the handle a thump with your hand to shake the handle down into it's normal position.

It maybe needs quite a few bashes to move it.

Also, squirting WD40 up inside the handle sometimes frees it off.

Once you have got the door open then you need to remove the door panel and free up the mechanism and lubricate it.

Hi Pete

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

I tried the WD40 thing and it worked.

The door now opens and closes fine which I know is a short term fix.
I hope to try and remove the door card tomorrow and see what I can do inside.

Cheers again m8

Glad you got it open.

The door card maybe just unclips - after taking off any handles etc.

WD40 is not a permanent fix - I use a spray grease from Toolstation.
