|
|
I have a Mk2 January 96 3.0v6 Auto LWB GLS Shogun and the Revcounter has now died.
I am now past the tapping and banging of the dash as it sadly has finally bit the dust. Looking for a replacement cluster on eBay and have found Mk2 replacements but 98 so the part number not identical. The number on mine is MR190942.
Do I need an exact number match or will later MK2 versions fit?
I think I am right in thinking that this could be an MOT failure if not working.
Looking forward to any help.
Many thanks

As far as I know the rev counter isn't in the MOT - neither is the speedo iirc |

Has anyone ever sent their rev counter away for repair?
Thinking it must just be dry joint(s) or similar? |

Thanks for the comments so far.
Looks like the MOT issue is the solution breaker for me. Although irritating not having it working I can live with it as I am looking to buy another shogun in a few months.
Many Thanks

There are lots of different clusters so be careful you get the right one...
Ie
Some have cable drive to speedo some are electric
Auto or manual is different PD2R position lights in centre
Some have suspension lights some dont
There are different warning lights - ABS etc...
They come up on ebay pretty regularly but dealers charge too much
Mine doest work but i reckon its the sender on the back of the fuel pump thats at fault so it will stay dead for now..
