I've a SWB 2008 3.8 Litre Petrol Pajero and I am thinking of going LPG. She has a mighty thirst. I waned to find out

1. Can I loose the petrol tank? and if I can
2. Can the existing petrol tank be replaced with a same sized LPG tank? if it can
3. Is there such a thing as a split tank? Part LPG part Petrol
3. What is the best LPG system to go with? injection/vapour etc.
4. What is the best manufacturers  to buy from?

The reason why I am asking the above is because I don't want the dogs balls hanging out the back of my Pajero. I hate the look that aftermarket tanks can have when they hang down and there is no way I am going to have a tank behind the back seat.

I'm surprised that this isn't the standard solutions, a split tank that is that holds 80/20 LPG/Petrol.

I was also looking for advice on the best system and manufacturer to go with. I'm not worried about installers….yet. I'll spend well now to have the thing for 10 years.
