Hi all,

I know from searching the internet and this forum that there can be problems with the mirrors not folding correctly, however I cannot find an answer to my specific problem.

The passenger side mirror works perfectly but the drivers side now does not fold at all, so I assume the problem is inside the mirror itself. The mirror adjustment and heating still works fine, its just the folding.

A few months ago it used to fold out if you pulled it in, but not now.

I found a guide on youtube how to repair the problem but the internals of my mirrors are different, once the glass and casing is removed, there is a black plastic box held on with gunge and tape, inside this is the motor and a small circuit board, there is no other screws or obvious fixings to hold it together so I cant strip it any further.

The car is an 02 Shogun Sport UK spec.

Any ideas or advice ?

Thanks,
CJ.

Obviously you've fixed it by now ???, did you never think with getting no answers, that no one here had encountered your specific problem, and therefore could'nt help ?. In 3 years you never even bumped the post  Confused
You certainly waited a long time before updating your post !

Happy new year .

And you never thought about posting how you fixed it to help others with the same problem ???

.... I suppose it is better just to throw a paddy because nobody on here has had the same problem so couldn't help.

Just don't sign on here - that solves your problem. I would hate you to waste any more of your time.

You have a very strange attitude - believe it or not we are all unpaid on here and try to help when we can. You seem to think you have some God-given right to get answers that nobody knows the answers to. and to then get obnoxious when you don't get what you want.

Bye!
