Right.... either side of the windscreen on the inside, there are metal support things....the frame work around the window if you get my drift. On both sides they have 2 small square snap on plastic covers to hide a screw or something. One of those covers is missing.
What do i ask for when phoning a dealer for a replacement please?

If you browse here http://mitsubishi.epcdata.ru/ you can enter your vehicle type/model number etc then go to 'Interior' and you'll see all the trim components. Select the item you want and you'll get to a page that will give you the Mitsubishi part #.

Your browser should be able to translate from Russian.

It should be on the plate that's attached to the bulkhead just under the bonnet. Not sure what vehicle you've got, but this is what the plate on my Challenger looks like. So mine is a K97WG RPF, for example.
