Hi guys, my Pajero was running with a slight miss and I remember seeing the last time I took my cap off the contacts a bit corroded.
Now I bought a new cap, installed it but it runs worse!!!!!! Thinking the new cap is duff I replaced the old one hoping it would run as before but it still runs like a pig with no power and the engine shakes all over the place.
What have I done wrong? I do remember some remnants of a disintegrated o ring falling but there was not much of it there anyway, would the o ring be the cause?

Don't remember an o ring under the dizzy cap. Run the engine in the dark and look for stray sparks. My 1992 coil was shooting a spark out of the casing.

are you fitting the leads in the corrct position in the cap ? its a little confusing as the tracks inside the cap are dog legged if you look inside the cap you will see exactly what i mean  Wink .
