Hi,, topped my radiator overflow bottle with halfords windscreen cleaner! Will this cause any problems to cooling system?

It is easy enough to take the expansion tank out and empty it. Some of it will have got into the cooling system but most will have stayed in the expansion tank. Depends how far you have driven the truck since putting it in.

I would assume it has detergent in the screen wash which I would have thought would cause foaming - not something I have experience of but it's better not to have it in there.

You're mixing different chemicals, who knows what new product you've invented.  Laughing

As per Pete above, drain and of the expansion bottle. If you've driven with a hot engine since adding the washer fluid, have a look at what comes out of the bottle when you empty it. If there is any sign of coagulation, I'd drain and flush the cooling system too.

Thanks for reply, not done many miles yet. Have emptied expansion tank, and replaced with correct fluid. All seems OK

You should be ok - most of it would have stayed in the expansion tank.
