Hi Byway, it's a 1967 Pontiac Parisienne pillarless.  As far as the DVLA are aware, it's the only one over here!  And yes, its has its original registration  plate.

That's a beaut.  Smile  Interesting that it's right hand drive. A bit of research shows me that CKD cars were exported to Australia for assembly. Reckon that yours was one of those?

Hi Simon, well, you are indeed correct about that, however this one was assembled in Canada and exported new to the U.K.  Well spotted on the RHD thing, most people amazingly never notice till I point it out!!  I'm currently building a big block Chevy motor for it.

Hi Bago. That's very interesting that it came directly from Canada. Do you know any more info? I wonder if it was a diplomatic car, for example? Do keep us posted on the 'big block' project.  Smile

Hi Ian.

That Pontiac looks brilliant.

Now if you were a little closer to Zim, you could show that beaut in our once a month Vintage and Classic Car Club Zimbabwe display. It's held in a shopping centre and always attracts interested viewers, some of whom have great knowledge of these old cars.

Hi Simon, well, I have all the previous owners records and it came here new in '67 and belonged to a garage in Weymouth from '67 to '79, funnily enough, right opposite my Auntie and uncles house!!  They remember it.  Not sure what they used it for.  It's had 16 owners since then, a few of whom I now know and am in regular contact with in and around the Yank scene which is big here in Wiltshire.  I have lots of pictures of it in various states of disrepair and crazy metal flake paint jobs!!  There are some on the internet also!

I have recently rebuilt it with one of its old owners who owns and runs a classic car restoration garage.  It's taken 6 years and is still not finished!!

Will keep you up to date on the Big block Chev!!

Cheers
Ian
