Was going well up until about a week ago when I lost all drive. The noise and they way it was behaving led me to think the gearbox let go. Definitely wasn't one of the diffs as I had no drive in any mode, even with all diffs locked. I dropped the gearbox/transfer box out and and didn't see anything wrong with the clutch, so I ordered a replacement gearbox, put it in and it was still doing the same thing. So either the replacement box is bad, or I missed something on the clutch. I'm thinking it's the latter. I've got an uprated clutch on the way so I'll put that in and see where I am.

Other than that is been running beautifully, a tad hotter than I'd like but nothing too bad. I'm going to get an uprated rad. It drives lovely, although it is a tad over geared. I'll more than likely swap the diffs out for V6 diffs, as they are a lower ratio. Fuel consumption wise, I'm getting around 15mpg, about what I was expecting to be honest.

Bit of an update for anybody who's interested. The aforementioned problem was the clutch in the end, I've since fitted an updated Exedy clutch and have had no issues at all. I've put around 2500 miles on it since the conversion and it's great, no real issues at all. I'm still averaging 15 18mpg.

It's also fantastic off road, it's absolutely unstoppable in low range from pretty much idle. I've have fitted a snorkel and plumbed an enclosed air filter into it. This gives a gorgeous induction noise, I keep driving with my widow open just to hear it lol!

Anyway, here are a few more pics, just because.

I'm very envious too. I think it's the best Shogun/Pajero around.

As if it wouldn't have a few V8 badges after all that work!  Laughing

Took some more footage today. The mic struggled a bit, and you can hear lots wind noise and tyre roar from the M/Ts in the last two parts, but you get the idea lol https://youtu.be/vd8UOhwE5QY

Good job!
there are a lot of those mods in SA but not many well made.

If I can recommend, you maybe should have a look on the AFR of that engine

Hi mate, unfortunately I lost all the drawings etc when I had a problem with my hard drive on my computer. I originally found them on a South African Pajero forum (although I modified them a bit) so a bit of googling and you should be able to track them down again.
