Hi I'm after some advice regarding 3.5 gdi engine. I've worked on quite a few 3.2 diesel did engines and always managed to eventually fix them but this 3.5 gdi has got me stuck. I purchased the car as a non starter poss fuel starvation. I will list what I've been through, new lp fuel pump, micro filters in hp pump, hp pump seems to be building up pressure( plugged into diagnostic and on cranking live data shows fuel pressure sensor rise to approx 4.5) no error codes stored! Timing is spot on checked and rechecked. Removed inlet manifold and de coked manifold and inlet ports until they are pristine. Good spark on all 6 cylinders. So finally today connected a noid led pulse sensor to each injector and this is where I'm stuck. Tested each injector and result was... No 1 injector no pulse, 2,3,4,5&6 one single pulse on cranking then nothing! Anyone any ideas before I start changing stuff would be appreciated. Many thanks |

If I am reading that correctly you have 4.5 bar HP pressure?? If so how would you get any injection when the cylinder pressure is circa 12 bar? |
