hello guys. i just tried to replace the front pads but having problems pushing the pistons back. i don't think they are seized as the brakes operate fine.

any advise will be greatly appreciated.

When I replaced my front pads I clamped the flexible hose, undid the bleed nipple, and used a G-cramp to ease the pistons back.

If you're doing the same, could the nipple be blocked? It might be worth removing it entirely and putting a catch tray under it before trying again.

get some silicone spray and spray it between the piston and rubber boot if they are twin pot calipers use one of the old pads and a g clamp and slowly press them in if one goes in more than the other swap the clamp on that side,also remove the top from the brake fluid resivoir Wink

thanks guys, i didn't try by undoing the nipple but i will give that ago and use some spray as well and see how that goes.
