Hello,

I wonder if anyone can help me, I have just purchased a Shogun Pinin 1.8 GDI as a small runaround and I am looking at changing the oil but it seems as though the Pinin manual does not specify an oil type giving the following as the type: Specified Engine Oil (API classification): SG or higher.

I have heard that the oil most used was 'Shell Ultra Helix SN 10W-30 (fully synthetic), but it seems this is no longer available (discontinued).

What is the best oil to use, particularly as I really want to reduce the coking up issues associated with this car?

Go to the Opie Oils web site HERE - put in the car details and you will get a list of suitable oils.

gdi engine,s run on mobil 1 0/40 castrol edge 5/30 or shell helix 5/40...my v6 gdi is running shell helix 5/40  Exclamation
