Hello. My Shogun (3.2 diesel 2004 LWB) has suddenly become sluggish recently especially when starting it up first thing in the morning. It starts ok and idling is not a problem. On 2 occasions over a week the engine management light has come on. On both occasions I stopped and restarted the car and the light did not reappear. My mechanic suspected the EGR - his diagnostic machine was unable to to make a connection. I've read many many thoughts over the years about blanking or not the EGR ( never had it done myself) and was seeking any advice from you the experts. MyShogun has a good engine and I don't want to do anything to compromise this. My final question is would a defective EGR lead to the engine management light coming on?
Thank you in advance.
