I have a 2007 NS SWB Pajero and it has given me great service since new in 2007. Has only done 120000 Kms and has been serviced regularly but of late it has taken it upon itself to cut the engine at any point while driving - very disconcerting to say the least. Had it back to the dealers and they are somewhat baffled as to the cause. Have used low ash oils and had the dpf checked. Any similar stories out there? |

Sounds like you might be getting the well known Pajero fuel pump seal issue. Have a look in the technical groups on here to see if the symptoms are as per. It is a simple fix and just a cheap seal that is needed but unfortunately they have to practically strip the car to get to the part so it is more expensive than you would expect due to time/labour costs. There are some people on this group who offer repair and service at good prices and they REALLY know these vehicles and what they are doing; look them up too |
