Hi All,

1998 3500 GDI, e-v25w gyuc.

Had a replacement battery yesterday, it starts and runs from cold as normal, but will not tick over when hot.  Was fine before. Have done 50 miles today, no different.

Any ideas what's happened, or what to look at? No engine management light so no other clues and cant see how changing a battery could have such an effect.

Thanks, Kneale

the easy way is disconnect then reconnect the battery...turn ign switch on then off within 1 second wait 15 seconds then start the engine run it up to temp...it should then be reset Wink

Hi All, thanks for the advice.

Tried the ten minutes, with and without method, left it ticking over just above the stall point. Decided to see if it improved and it is fine now, two weeks on.

Many thanks

Had to change the drivers side headlight bulb on my Pinin today, it was a bit tight so disconnected and  took the battery out to give me more space....
Connected it all back up and had a really low erratic tickover  Evil or Very Mad
Did the ECU reset procedure and all back to normal (actually a bit better than before!)
Thanks guys, this forum is ace  Cool
going to get the greasegun out tomorrow, and try and find the elusive nipples  Shocked   Laughing
