07 year, 2.5 td, car cut out with no warning and wouldn't start. Full tank of fuel and fuel at filter, when turning over engine no fuel at injectors. There is fuel returning to the tank via the tank return. Solenoid was checked and functioning when removed, when turning over engine solenoid didn't appear to be getting energised so used a power probe to supply power but still no fuel at injectors. Does this look like a pump replacement or have I maybe missed something? |

Look for an air leak in the rubber pipes from the filter to the pump. Check also for wetness at the filter water drain, they're plastic and can crack. |

Also remove the top timing cover, 5 bolts, and see that the timing of the pump is correct by setting the crank timing marks, then confirm the pump timing marks are aligned. |

Good point with the fuel pipe, no signs of wetness, there was an issue with the tank pipes but they've been replaced. As far as the pump timing, I would've thought that there would be fuel at the injectors regardless of what the timing was. |

Yes, I thought so, but for a few minutes work and no cost, you can be certain all is well in that area, and not have to think about that again. |

Yes, think I'm past that part now. Hard to get any manuals covering that specific year and injection pump, even wiring diagrams. |
