Hi there, I'm looking to raise my suspension slightly. I have a 1991 Pajero 2.5td swb. I have recently fitted some cooper discoverer STT tyres 285/75/16 and they come very close to the arches when on un even ground. I'm thinking 2" lift should be adequate? I have the guide for the front torsion bars so it's just the rears I'm looking for a solution for.

I was told that the lwb models have bigger springs on the rear but after buying some on eBay I found they are exactly the same as the springs I have..

Years back I fitted OME 910 rear springs and shocks all round to my Mk1 lwb. The ride is great, as is load carrying, whilst unladed the lift is around what you're looking for. These are pricey, but have worked well for me.

Hi thanks for that, so the 910kg springs will provide a 2" lift roughly? I did have a look online for some but can't seem to find any.

I've asked a guy to measure up some Nissan patrol rear springs as I'm told these work perfectly.

Will keep you updated, in the meantime any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks again
Dave.

Milners sell a lift kit - don't know how good it is though.

It's not 910 KG,    910 was then the part number.

I've read of many on here who fit Patrol springs, but I think to the 2.8 Paj models. Have a look in Search at the page top.

Nissan Patrol Y60 Springs give about 3" lift on a LWB and 5-6" on a shorty I believe. To lift a shorty, lots use lwb springs for about 3" as stated.

That's a great help, thanks very much. I did buy a set of lwb springs but they are exactly the same as the springs already fitted to mine. :-S

I have now bought a full kit for 3" lift from Milners off road as suggested above. I haven't fitted it yet but will update when fitted, it all looks like very good quality stuff and all for £200. I have also bought lots of other goodies from Milners off road. Very good selection of hard to find parts and all very reasonably priced...

Ok well I'm nearly there then! Just changed my whining speedo cable today, that's made the driving experience a lot nicer! Smile
