Hi Guys filled up diesel tank the other day, good lady saw it dripping from the front of the tank,couple of days later, tank now just above half full and has eased just a few drips after parking,
any suggestions would be appreciated many thanks.

If it is leaking when only half full then I would assume you have a hole in the tank.

Best to take it off and inspect it.

I've never done it on a Sport but it took a couple of hours to remove it on my Pajero.

Be careful not to snap any fuel lines - on the Pajero there is a hatch in the floor to access and disconnect the fuel pipes - but I don't think there is a hatch on the Sport (although I might be wrong on that)

Also - use plenty of penetrating oil otherwise you will have some snapped bolts. I used PlusGas and soaked them for a couple of days before I removed the bolts.

many thanks for the advice, hoping there is a drain plug tank holds 74ltrs it's a bit weight, will check everything out first back in onto heavy duty ramps. here's hoping its something simple,
new tank a few quid

on the Challenger there is a drain bolt. I've removed mine a few times, use a trolley jack with a lump of would to lower the tank slowly Smile
