Wondering if one of you fine fellows could take a minute to grab the FCC ID off the back of your keyless entry remote? My paj evo is shipping this month with a key, but no remote. I've found a few on the "bay" but I'd like to confim I have the right one before I go ahead and order one.
Cheers

Well, I've been doing some digging, and based on appearance, I think the Paj-Evo uses a 2-button Omron remote, FCC ID: E4EG8DE. This is unconfirmed as of yet. Trying to cross-ref a part number, but no luck so far. |

The problem is that there are so few Evos around, and in the UK at least most would probably have had an aftermarket alarm system installed to keep insurance costs down. So if it came with any sort of keyless entry (most Mark 2 Shogun/Pajero didn't) then it wouldn't necessarily still be in use as the alarm system would have its own fobs. |

My 2.8 came with a remote central locking system which I think was fitted when it was imported.
Only one fob that didn't work.
It is not a big job to remove the old system and fit an aftermarket one.
As Rich says - with an Evo then you ought to be fitting a good quality alarm - and that will incorporate a central locking interface. |

Just to update - this FCC ID worked. I now have factory remote locking. Had to program it, but it now works like a charm. Once again its remote FCC ID #E4EG8DE. |
