I had a problem once with lights when my car's original battery died 2 years ago.

Since then all has been well until about 3 weeks ago when I noticed only 3 of the 4 green wheel lights come on when 4WD selected.  All feels okay, drives normally.  Its not the bulb as the missing '4th corner' bulb illuminates as part of start-up self test, but doesn't show at all when selected (off-side front).

Anything I can ivestigate short of jacking the whole vehicle up and checking if all 4 corners are actually engaging?

Thanks

What is jacking up four corners going to achieve?

The system is operated by two switches, one for the rear axle and one when the front axle is engaged, most likely a wiring fault in the dash, faulty connection at the bulb, or a fault with the plastic circuit board.

On the mk3 it can flash any individual wheel if it loses traction and spins. So it could be some electrical fault.

It should only come on when its spinning, either way it should have reset itself by now.

Did they have T/C on the 2004 model Tom.

Thanks guys - it has actually, eventually sorted itself out - not sure how and when or why, but all 4 lights back on, working again.

Thanks for your feedback, I learnt a couple of things there.
