Ready for this one, my uncles got a trooper that's having a very strange brake problem, the brakes are locking on randomly from only the pedal, callipers have been stripped and sliding pins polished and sliding great, but the Pistons haven't been touched, but this is what's going on, car is up in the air 4 wheels of the ground, press the pedal nothing seizes, this happens 6 times then one back well siezes on, next press the 2 front size on but back one does not, next press all 4 sieze on, next press none sieze, next press one front siezes, and the randomness continues, anyone got any ideas?

Sounds to me like the brake cylinders have got rusty and the pistons are seizing on them. As the pads wear, the pistons are now touching the rusty section of the cylinders.

It's not roadworthy in this condition. I think that your uncle has little choice other than to strip the system down and most likely replace all four calipers.

Master cylinder u/s not returning which locks the brakes on hydraulically.

Easy way to test, get one locked on, open the bleed nipple, if the wheel then releases its a hydraulic problem and almost definitely the master cyl.

An update on the brakes, so all callipers have been off and cleaned and the Pistons polished, and all now seems to be working fine, but shall see how it goes, but I think there's more to it.
