Unlike the earlier models V68 does not have a back axle, what exactly are you trying to replace?

It is the metals pipe to the rubber pipe that go to the brake calliper on each wheel

Do you need to replace the entire pipe(s) or is it just one corroded section that you could cut out and join?  If you have access to a hand held flaring tool it could be quite easy although it would be better if the vehicle was raised on a lift.  In all honesty you would be better off giving it to someone who is doing this sort of thing all day long and has access to the proper tools and a lift.

I've recently replaced a brake pipe on my Challenger. First time I've ever done the job, and it was much easier than I expected it to be.

It's got ABS and I didn't pay it any particlar attention. I put some cling film over the reservoir and then put the cap back on to prevent too much fluid dripping out.  If there's a rubber section 'upstream' of the pipes you're replacing you could put a clamp on that.

I don't have a flaring tool, so my local motor shop made up the pipe to length using matching unions. I used a piece of string to measure the length required.  My biggest suprise was that after 20 years all the bolts holding the clamps in place came out without a single breakage.  Very Happy

If you haven't got a brake flare spanner it's worth getting one to prevent the unions rounding off.

I was quoted £100 for the job and was told the fuel tank would need to be removed and replaced.  My DIY job cost me £15 and I managed to do it without disturbing the tank.
