|
|
Hi everyone , I have a bit of an issue my Pajero mk2 , is a bit sluggish on maybe first 2 gears , it revs freely but the speed to rev ratio is notably sluggish , I'm not sure if this is anything to do with me recently fixing a Leaking injector Pump at the top seal were the throttle conects and a Faulty Fuel Primer Pump , wich I still haven't replaced , I currently have a small inline.fuel filter by passing the primer and Disel filter. Could this be causing it ?, since I fixed these two issues i noticed this problem , I alredy have got the primer pump replacement , haven't installed it yet , but wondering if this will fix it ? When I pull of I change at 3000 Rpm up to 3rd gear and its still at 40Kmh , after third gear it climbs quickly .
Any ideias ?
Best Regards |

Maybe the inline filter is restricting the flow of fuel - I had a similar problem a while ago.
Just change the primer - it doesn't take very long to do that. |

I fitted two flow sensors to my fuel lines and my truck wouldn't go faster than 45 mph. I fitted two larger ones with a higher flow rate and the problem was solved. |

yes i have , the small one i put in untill the new part arrived , its now removed, and working only on the primer pump and filter system , and still slaggish , i starting to wonder if i havent miss aligned the idle position , when i fixed the injector pump seal on the top
could it be it? i could only see it acting as a idle rpm ajustment and not affecting its preformance |

Have you blanked the EGR Valve ? If not I'd do that. |

Thanks for all the replys , I found the fault , the actuator was not screwed in properly since the last time I removed it thinking it was a EGR Valve , I now have proper turbo kicking in and it drives great. Thanks for all the help |
