Wheres all the grease nipples on a 1992 2.5td Pajero? Have found x4 on propshaft and x2 on steering joints on underside. Have seen a nipple on top of steering mechanism in engine bay to osf next to radiator (is this a grease nipple?) and any others? Cheers

you shoud find either 12 or 14 in total

propshafts 2 & 2

bottom str swivels 2

top swivels 2

track rod outer ends 2

track rod inner ends 2

cross rod ends 2

i think thats em all accounted for easier to to with veh jacked as steering ends require a modicum of lock to lock to get on or even see can be done with bashplate on but far easier withit removed

Is it just standard grease like you would use for wheel bearings in each of these?

The nipple on the steering box is for bleeding the power steering fluid of air, it's not a grease nipple.

Quote ..............you shoud find either 12 or 14 in total.

14, plus 4 more on the suspension upper arms, = 2 each arm.

Trends worldwide are to eliminate maintenance items, many vehicles have no grease points, sealed for life is the word. What life. given diverse driving conditions is any ones guess.

Mk III only have 1 fitted on the front propshaft unless the various ball joints have been changed as most aftermarket ones come with grease nipples fitted.

On many Pajero versions sold abroad it is exactly the same vehicle as the Shogun and they do have joints fitted with grease nipples, particularly in third world countries, this explains why so many aftermarket ball joints come with ball joints fitted with nipples.
