Hi im having a complete mare with my sport never really been that good a bit slow compared to my mates paj 2.5 i bought it last year for a second car. weeks ago went to it and wouldnt start , shut the door and left it for (2 weeks) came to it again it started after a few turns , so maybe i thought fuel cut off solenoid was stuck so flipped it out to test it seemed ok so just for a test left out the plunger and spring. this was going to allow me to start but not stop it. over the next few days every morning and afternoon went to it and flicked it over on the drive to which without any hesitation started and accelerated straight away on the throttle this seemed to have cured it but how is it switching off? no shudder just straight off with no solenoid ?.
Anyway friday decided to use it for the day to go a few errands locally, started fine stopped fine first stop, the next start was a few turns , the start after that was more turns still ok to drive after the revs had 30 seconds to pick up. this was the same for the next two stop start journeys until the last time parked up on the newsagents to which i turned it over and over no start, ended up throwing it on the back of a lowloader to get it moved as the rac wanted over 100 pounds to get me home six miles ,i hope ive explained myself lol. Anyway now new glow plugs today still not starting fuel primed up to the pump and no fuel only a drip at the injector top with the pipe off, as mine is the fly by wire type there are two solenoids on the battery side and a flat box thing screwed to the top of the pump with 5 or 6 wires coming out of it, i know the bottom one on the side is fuel pressure solenoid?could this cause it and what about the other two ive mentioned any help will be appreciated as it sounds to me as there may be more than one symptom but something is shutting off the fuel not even firing now , seems this engine is let down by fuel problems also anyone recommend a decent code reader for my model cheers guys [align=left][align=justify] |
