Hi,
I have an issue after changing the battery on a 3.2 diesel auto. I have tried the idle relearn procedure as recommended on the forum. I have a problem that when the engine is warming up the revs start at 1000 rpm when cold and gradually drop to about 500 rpm as it gets hot. This would appear to set the idle at 500 rpm and results in the engine stalling when put in drive or reverse. This model does not have air conditioning - does this make a difference to the procedure and any ideas as to why the revs drop when warming up. Any help gratefully received.

Hi I have the same car and had that identical problem. Took it to my local garage and he put diagnostics machine on, cleared any errors that were showing and it has ran beautifully without a hitch ever since. it took 10 minutes and he didn't even charge me.
