Here is a tip I have used for years and has never let me down.
This is mostly for those who use fobs rather than keys, but should be used by all.
Have you ever come across a seized or frozen door lock and you cannot gain access?
Every time I service my own car, I fill a small syringe with copperslip and squeeze it into the door locks.
Then Put a drop on each side of the key and run it in and out of the lock.
This keeps the tumblers in the locks free from seizing up or freezing in the winter.
A thin syringe should be available from a nurse if you know any.
I was lucky to have a sister in law who was a surgery nurse and supplied me with a large packet of them. (Without needles of course)
I always keep one in the car, but also keep a few in my toolbox.
Using the very thin ones means you can just get in to the key flap enough to inject the copperslip.
Those who use fobs, tend to forget that not using the key will allow the locks to seize up through non usage.

I use graphite lock lubricant as any type of grease can gum up the tumblers in the lock barrel. HERE |

Yeah that's why I always use copperslip bud, as it stays liquidy so prevents tumbler sticking, but anything that is similar would work too. |
