i think from memory you would have to use your fuel pump and inlet manfiold as like you said they are different unless you maybe get the ecu but then there could be an issue with wiring |

Just to update, I bought another engine which turned out to be duff and I am now getting refunded for it, then got another GDi flared arch, when they took the engine out, found there was movement in the crankshaft. I've now bought a flared arch Shoggy, GLS with the 3.0 V6 24V engine to transplant into mine. Running it at the moment till they can get round to mine. Lovely smooth engine, pulls well. Would have preferred the 3.5 shoggy engine but seems they're like hens teeth. My mechanic says I can use the tiptronic gearbox with this but I have some doubts on that issue. I'd rather use the one it's currently mated to. It's got cruise control but I'm not sure if the GDi was wired for that, be nice to have it but we'll see. Shouldn't be much of a problem fitting it, maybe redo the throttle and so on. In hindsight, I should have gone for a shoggy engine but live and learn. Hey ho! |
