What refrigerant does the MK2 pajero take? 1991 Reg.

It used to be R12 I think, Ian at Subzero did mine last time but im not going to be local enough for him.

would have been R12 on that year. Have a look at the service ports. If the smaller of the two(low side) looks like a car tyre Schrader valve, then its R12. Subzero would have most likely used a "drop in gas" that replaces R12. If the service port is a bayonet fitting then its been converted to later R134a. Personally, I fit adaptors to the earlier R12 systems and change them to R134a.
