|
|
Can anyone please advise me how easy it is to replace the aerial mast on my 1994 2.8 Exceed?
I understand that you can just change the mast. Also any advice on where best to obtain a replacement and the part number would be handy.
Thanks in advance. |

Mine was until I caught it on a tree the other day
Sourced a new mast today and it will be here Wednesday. Still the original motor, so I suppose it'll be a bit like Triggers Broom |

As a follow on from this, the new mast is in but the motor is over-running in both directions. A couple of folks have suggested that it may be the relay. I have ordered a replacement, but can anyone please tell me where the relay is located please. 1994 2.8TDI Exceed. |

Control relay/unit is in centre console underneath radio blue in colour.
The over running could be caused by an incorrect length of plastic toothed cable on the bottom of the mast, or a piece of the old cable still in the motor I had the same problem and the toothed cable was about 1cm too long, you need to measure against old mast |

I did measure it all Mick, but to be quite honest, it over-ran quite a bit before I replaced the mast, I just thought that it was because the mast was a bit FUBAR.
My son owned the motor before me and he says that it over ran from the day he got it as well, so for a tenner from Mitzybitz, it's worth a try.
Thanks for the heads up on the location. Much appreciated. |
