A bit of info HERE

I thought removing the DPF will cause the vehicle to fail an MOT.

A bit of reading HERE

Thanks for that . It a good bit of reading.

I had to change the center box on the exhaust ( mitsubishi  part only) and i practical  had to take the parts guy out and show him the exhaust as he said it did not  have a DPF fitted to the her. So what im thinking is if mitsubishi  dont know whats fitted to her then the MOT boys not going to know ... Laughing

Parts guys are rarely any good - all they do in Derby is ask for your VIN number and look on the computer.

I think the MOT people will have a list of cars that have DPFs - but I'm only guessing as luckily mine doesn't have one.

Hopefully someone with experience of your model will be along soon.

The DPF must be fitted to the vehicle, I think it was 2014 that saw it added to the MOT list as a visual inspection to ensure its fitted, if not fitted its an instant failure and they do check to ensure they're fitted now.

Pete:

They are all online now, once they put the Reg No in it tells you all the relevant information about the vehicle and what it should have fitted to make it compliant.

If it should have a DPF it shows up when they log the vehicle in.

Yep - I assumed they would have a system for checking Assassin.

No problems with DPF Pete, its a problem with the owners who don't give them a good run once a month and just poodle around town slowly, or the longest trip they do is to Tesco on pension day and drive like Miss Daisy all the time.

When mines warm it simply gets a foot down blast up dual carriageways slip roads and I have never had a problem with mine.
