|
|
Hi I have just got through the post my new driving (spot) light I got the angel eye version which have an LED ring so I can use them as drl's with the additional wiring harness I have. the only problem I have is that I ordered the white versions and what I got was blue. Is there any difference that is really noticeable between the 2 lenses, I have heard that the blue lenses reduce glare and are better in fog (but would you have main beams on in fog). I am trying to get them returned but wanted to know if blue is better than clear? |

Really what the blue tinting does is make the yellow light from the halogen bulb more white. If you look at 'whiter' headlight bulbs, you'll see they often have a blue coating.
Other than that it's just how you think they look on the vehicle. Probably look fine on a blue Pajero, but might be a bit jarring on a red one for example. |

Thanks I wasn't sure if there was a difference I may have kept them if the LED's were white as my DRL controller can be configured to work as extra indicators but as the whole lens is blue and yes I have a red pajero doesn't quite match |

Its a personal choice thing I think... i have had both and prefer the look of the blue but saw no difference in their performance...

Yes thanks that's what I thought but blue on a red pajero !! I am getting replacement lights that are both white so my driving lights and drl's will be both the same colour. |
