Hi all
Just thought I'd post a heads up for anyone mixing 2 stroke in their diesel, screwfix are doing 5lts mineral fb spec (green tinged and I'm sure it's mixing better than the red stuff I was using before) 10.80, great price
Cheers

I started using the Screwfix green stuff a while ago when I couldn't get any of my usual red stuff - seems OK.

Hi
Thats good to hear I've just started to use the screwfix stuff, previously using morrisons red 2 stroke for about a fortnight and am sure it's running quieter and smoother with a bit more grunt to early to tell about mpg though
Cheers

How often are you guys mixing it? On my Toyota with the 2LT i used to do it infrequently and not as a regular practice. Sure made some difference when running ULSD on these old engines.

Cheers

I put in about 100ml to £40 of diesel.

Been using it for about 5 years - mainly to try to protect the front pump seal.

Quote ... Nothing like the smell of 2T in the morning.

Except perhaps the Castol R oil I used to add to my BSA fuel tank, some 55 plus years back.

You don't get any smell of 2 stroke from a diesel exhaust, least I don't, not like older 2 stroke petrol motorbikes when you left a cloud of lovely smelling blue smoke behind you, yam Rd 250's were horrendously smokey when driven briskly, but fairly rapid for a 250cc

Yeah not gonna smell in a diesel.

Good to hear from a fellow RD (current or past) owner. Still have a 350 myself.

Mine was nearly as quick as my friends Honda 400/4, I don't think you'd get away with leaving all that blue smoke behind you now and boy what a racket when giving it welly
