Hi All,

I got the correct Iso connector for my CD player, all works apart from only playing sound out of one side of the speakers,

However once the engine is switched off , every few seconds it is trying to eject a CD and is making the noise like it does when you first connect the power supply,

This happens when it is shut down by any method and also with the immobiliser on or off, Thanks !

This maybe of no help to you but I had a similar problem with a Sony head unit many years ago.

There were a couple of wires, one for the permanent live (memory for stations etc) and another wire that was only live when the ignition was in the accessory position (to turn on the unit).

After a lot of research it turned out that some Sony models had the wrong colour wiring on those two wires.

Switching those two wires over solved it for me.

Hi,

Thanks for that,

Do you know which wires it was ? the ISO connector matches the output of the Sony unit so not too sure which one to cut and reconnect ?

Cheers

It is so long ago that I can't remember the colours.

The best way to identify them is to use a voltmeter or test lamp in the ISO connector.

One terminal should be live all the time, and the other only live only when the ignition is on.

Yellow to the head unit should be permanent, red should be switched.  Make sure the unit has a good ground, IIRC the Pajero radio is grounded by the fixing brackets and the loom does not have a ground connection.
