I don't think one cylinder with 10% greater leakage than the other cylinders will prevent firing of the cylinder. There would seem to be another, as yet unknown reason for this.

Ok thanks for helping me. Anyway i  am going to change at least piston rings and bearings after I measured those. I have already change injectors and other stuff. But maybe problem is somewhere else. I have heard so that ecu is causing problem like this but don't know about this age of mitsu? Anyone hear anything about ecu?
There is also lot of black dirt inside of intake manifold . I need to clean that also. Is motor code 6g74? I found few place where I can order parts. Some parts like rings might be same in other models than gdi?

Remember to at least hone the cylinder bores and test the ring gap clearance in the bores.

How are the valves sealing in their seats ?

Mitsubishi is still waiting better time to work with it... i´m working in a nother country for a while.
I try to find piston rings many country and place, but everyone is trying to sell me wrong ones? 1,5/1,5/3,0 mm but I have 1,2mm/ 1,2mm/ 2,0mm is it newer motor or what?
I buy on ebay one piston same year than I have and there is 1,5/1,5/3,0.

I now that my car is changed motor at 150 000 km in Mitsubishi store and it last another 150 000 then broke  Shocked
here finland is only one place (Mitsubishi store) you can buy rings but I try to not buy anything there, because it cost there 400€ i´m not sure are even those right one.

I think bearings are same for every 6g74 motors. only there is color identifications.

Ok so, I can't find any reason for (5cyl running) on my engine and that's why I try to find new one. Tryed a long time...
I found only older versions 97-99.

What is the difference between 97 and ex. 2003 model??
I mean that if I buy older engine and change intake, exhaust and just put it in my pajero, does it work? Is there something different inside cam timing? Or else.

Piston rings are different but that does not matter.

the older gdi has a bigger high pressure pump before the 2000 models this is the one that bolts to the cylinder head in the v of the engine and it puts out 700 psi the one in the tank is just a supply pump at 50 psi Wink

Ok. Then I buy older engine and fix that somehow.
I think that piston rings size changing is only because of fuel economy staff.
thanks hutchy!

the high pressure pumps will just be a straight swap over just the older model one is a lot bigger to the newer one but the mounts are the same Wink
