Hi all my pajero 2.8 has just started holding in first gear to long it does change and then work normally , I had the atf oil changed and it still does it , after a bit of a search came across this post , http://www.pocuk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=152758&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 , in the post gegs750k4 , refers to a sender on the top of the engine that stops the overdrive engaging while the autobox oil is cold , anyone know where it is , and could this be my problem as she was fine before , I have driven after the atf oil change and all seems smooth when up to temperature the garage reported that the oil was very brown and smelled awful they flushed it twice ,
cheers for now |

Its the forward most sensor out of the 3 fitted in the ally housing the top hose fits onto on the head, there just under the top hose, it has a single wire going to it, remove the wire and earth it to the engine and see if it helps? |

Thanks emax , when mark3 said where the sensor was I knew straight away , I have had the fuel pump in and out of my pajero a lot this year to fix a leak and as you can imagine they have been disconnected and reconnected more than twice , I will be giving them a good looking at tomorrow . |
