Could anyone identify the noise in the video. It is a random rattle while the car is ticking over. Seems to be coming from the area in the video?

Hard to tell with my ( lack of) hearing...  Confused  Could it be a heat shield or the exhaust mounts/joints?

Put a rod on various parts of the engine and the other end behind your ear ( mechanics stethescope) if you think its from within...

Good luck

I used a metal rod to track noises for years - then I bought one of THESE - much better.

I thought I had it narrowed down to the alternator, but would a failing alternator 'rattle'; usually the bearings just grumble?

They look cheap enough Pete and less chance of drilling a hole in your head with the vibration  Laughing  Shocked
